Laya Huntington brings over 10 years of experience in ground up construction and development, tenant improvements, retail, medical office and restaurant remodels. Prior to co-founding Next Level Project Management Laya worked as a project manager for Cushman & Wakefield. She represented both tenants and landlords and her project involvement began with strategic reviews during lease negotiations through to project design and permitting. She created and managed budgets and overall project schedules and was instrumental in contract negotiations with all vendors. As construction started she provided oversight and managed vendors through successful completion to occupancy and project closeout. Laya also created scopes of work, RFPs and detailed bid comparisons on vendors related to Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) and managed awarded vendors through project completion.
Prior to joining C&W in 2014, Mrs. Huntington was a Project Manager at Watkins Landmark Construction located in Carlsbad, CA. At Watkins Landmark Construction, Mrs. Huntington headed up the Special Projects Division, which included tenant improvements, restaurants, small ground up construction and more. Her role on each project began with budgetary pricing to assist her clients in negotiating a lease through construction completion.
